Dr. Mirko Rahn
(Fraunhofer-Institut für Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik (ITWM), Kaiserslautern)
The talk will present some methods used in High Performance Computing. We will motivate why they got developed (technology driven vs. application driven) and how they are used to map large problems to high performance infrastructure. The speaker wants to interact with the audience in order to figure what methods might be appropriate to map their problems.
