Bioinformatics 2012

International Conference on Bioinformatics Models, Methods & Algorithms
1 – 4 February 2012, Vilamoura (Portugal)

The purpose of the International Conference on Bioinformatics Models, Methods and Algorithms is to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the application of computational systems and information technologies to the field of molecular biology, including for example the use of statistics and algorithms to understanding biological processes and systems, with a focus on new developments in genome bioinformatics and computational biology. Areas of interest for this community include sequence analysis, biostatistics, image analysis, scientific data management and data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition, computational evolutionary biology, computational genomics and other related fields.

RECOMB

16th Annual International Conference on Research in Computational Molecular Biology
21 – 24 April 2012, Barcelona (Spain)

RECOMB is a well-established scientific conference bridging the computational, mathematical, and biological sciences. The conference features keynote talks by preeminent scientists in the life sciences, together with presentations of refereed research papers in computational biology.

The conference series aims at attracting research contributions in all areas of computational molecular biology, including: molecular sequence analysis; recognition of genes and regulatory elements; molecular evolution; protein structure; structural genomics; analysis of gene expression; biological networks; sequencing and genotyping technologies; drug design; probabilistic and combinatorial algorithms; systems biology; computational proteomics; structural and functional genomics; information systems for computational biology and imaging.

ISMB 2012

20th Annual International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology
15 – 17 July 2012, Long Beach CA (USA)

ISMB specifically encourages an increased participation of scientists involved in experimental biology. The 20th anniversary conference program will include over 40 contributed papers selected by an international program committee during a rigorous review process rivaling the editorial procedure for top-rate scientific journals with an acceptance rate of ~19%. Contributed papers are collected in a proceedings published as part of an online-only issue of the Oxford University Press journal Bioinformatics and are distributed on USB drive to all attendees at the conference. Several parallel tracks are not tied to publication in the conference proceedings, and therefore offer experimentalists and industry researchers, as well as mainstream ISMB attendees, additional opportunities to present their work at the conference. A further point in the program is an extensive and lively poster session; at recent ISMB conferences 700-800 posters have been presented.

ECCB’12
